A summary of the latest information on the activities of the CKS DRG.

The CKS DRG has issued guidance on HP lasting less than 24 hours. The guidance focuses mainly on situations where the patient is discharged home or transferred to another healthcare facility. The guideline aims to clarify the classification and reimbursement of such cases and the procedure in accordance with current legislation. In collaboration with experts, we have prepared diagrams that visualise the process of allocating time and costs in the DRG circuit and, together with the already existing excel tool, are intended to be used as a guide for HC providers in assessing the correctness of the allocation of time and salary costs in the preparation of the annual levy. In conjunction with the publication of the document on the CKS DRG website in the Documents/Education section, an online information session for PHCPs was also held on 11 February 2025 where the diagrams were presented.

Due to the update of Law 581/2004, a new Steering Committee has been established and its activities are regulated by the statutes available on our website. The functioning of the working groups set up by the CKS DRG has also been modified, with 3 working groups - medical-analytical, economic-data and financing working groups - operating under the new regime.
