Arbitration disputes

In view of the increasing number of enquiries received by the DRG Centre for Classification System (CKS) regarding the opinion on various ambiguities in the Rules for Coding of Diseases and Medical Procedures as well as the non-recognition of hospitalisation cases by health insurance companies.

The DRG CKS has created an area for the submission of requests in the form of "Arbitration Disputes " in the Feedback section of the DRG CKS.

The requests received will be processed by the CKS DRG team who will prepare an opinion and present to the Coding Rules Working Group.

Last but not least, it is important to note that the CKS DRG is working on a legislative change to give the relevant documents issued regularly by the CKS DRG a generally legally binding character.
